[ It takes Romance a while to fall asleep. Mostly, he's awake, watching Abby sleep with the kind of peace demons don't often see. Relaxed features, no furrow of his brow, no waking up screaming from nightmares.

And apparently, Abby is a clinger - at some point in the night, he ends up draped over Romance completely, nose tucked behind his ear, arm slung around his waist like theyβre lovers instead of... whatever the hell they are. Mostly pinned beneath the heavy weight of him, Romance lets his fingers comb absently through Abbyβs hair, slow and careful, just to have something to do with his hands, to anchor himself in this moment. Remember it, just in case.
At some point he must drift off as well, though his dreams are more complicated than Abby's, twisted, layered things that blur the lines of memory and desire. They're not necessarily good, but they're not...bad, either.
Morning will come though - or at least, as much as 'morning' can come where they are, and maybe if he pretends to stay asleep, Abby won't leave. ]
